The anime follows Akira Himegami, a man placed into cold sleep after confessing his feelings to Towasa Ōmaki. When he awakens 200 years later, the Earth has been transformed. Civilization has fallen, and in its ashes rises Owel, a mysterious organization that now holds dominion.

In this twilight world, Akira encounters Yūgure, an android who shocks him with an unexpected proposal—marriage. But Akira cannot accept, for his heart still belongs to Towasa.
