💘Nobody Wants This Season 2 (2025) – Cast, Plot, Release Date, Review & Where to Watch | Love, Faith, and Awkward Family Dinners

Love isn’t easy. Faith isn’t simple. And comedy? Well, that’s just the glue holding it all together in Netflix’s award-nominated rom-com hit, Nobody Wants This. After a breakout debut season that left fans swooning and laughing in equal measure, the Kristen Bell and Adam Brody-led series is finally back.

Season 2 of Nobody Wants This premieres October 23, 2025, only on Netflix — and this time, Joanne and Noah’s whirlwind romance is about to face its first real storm.

“Everything else will work itself out, but I’m saying that you are my priority.” – Noah, Season 1 finale

🌟 What Is Nobody Wants This About?

Created by Erin Foster and executive produced by her sister Sara Foster, the series flips the classic rom-com script. It follows Joanne (Kristen Bell), an outspoken agnostic podcaster, and Noah (Adam Brody), a kindhearted rabbi who doesn’t quite fit the mold. Their mismatched romance in Season 1 charmed audiences and critics alike, earning Emmy nods, Critics' Choice Awards recognition, and even a win for Brody.

Now, in Season 2, Joanne and Noah must navigate more than just cultural clashes. Holidays, birthdays, meddling families, and career struggles all collide with one looming question: can their love survive the everyday chaos of real life?

🎭 Returning Cast & New Faces

Of course, the beloved ensemble returns:

  • Kristen Bell as Joanne

  • Adam Brody as Noah Roklov

  • Justine Lupe as Morgan

  • Timothy Simons as Sasha

  • Jackie Tohn as Esther

  • Tovah Feldshuh as Bina

  • Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan

But Season 2 is also welcoming some big new names:

  • Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) as Abby, Joanne’s middle school nemesis turned Instagram mommy influencer (and Brody’s real-life wife).

  • Miles Fowler (Bottoms) as Lenny, Noah’s basketball buddy and Morgan’s new date.

  • Alex Karpovsky (Girls) as “Big Noah,” an overconfident rabbi.

  • Arian Moayed (Succession) as Dr. Andy, Morgan’s unexpected love interest.

  • Plus, surprise guest stars Seth Rogen and Kate Berlant join the chaos.

“If we got lucky with our main cast, we got just as lucky with our guest stars.” – Erin Foster

🎬 What Happened in Season 1?

Season 1 ended with a dramatic parking-lot confession where Noah promised Joanne she came first, even if tradition and family said otherwise. But while it looked like a fairytale ending, the reality is complicated: Joanne isn’t Jewish, Noah’s family isn’t thrilled, and both characters have to decide just how much they’re willing to sacrifice — or grow — to make this relationship last.

As Adam Brody put it:

“It’s a sacrifice, but ideally, you grow together and you’re better for it — you don’t have to lop off a limb.”

✹ New Showrunners, Same Heart

Season 2 brings in Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan (Girls, Six Feet Under) as showrunners, alongside executive producer Nora Silver. Their collaboration with Erin Foster promises a fresh but familiar energy, mixing sharp comedy with heartfelt romance.

“Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!” – Erin Foster

📅 When & Where to Watch

  • Premiere Date: October 23, 2025

  • Streaming: Exclusively on Netflix

  • Catch up: Season 1 is available to binge now.

📝 Conclusion

Season 1 of Nobody Wants This made us fall in love with Joanne and Noah’s quirky, messy, and oh-so-relatable romance. Season 2 promises to take things deeper — family feuds, career choices, new rivals, and those awkward-but-hilarious milestones every couple must face.

It’s a story about sacrifice, growth, and love in the face of difference. And most of all, it’s proof that sometimes the relationships nobody wants
are exactly the ones we all need.

On October 23, grab your tissues and your popcorn — because Joanne and Noah are back to remind us that comedy and love are the perfect match. â€ïžđŸŽŹ
