Get ready to tumble â or rather, Stumble â into NBCâs most hilarious and heartfelt mockumentary yet! From the creators of hit comedies and the director behind The Office comes a wild, spirited look into the unpredictable world of junior college cheerleading. Premiering Friday, November 7, 2025, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with new episodes streaming next day on Peacock.
đ âCheer is more than a team⊠itâs survival.â
Meet Courteney Potter (played by Jenn Lyon), once a legendary college cheer coach who had it all â fame, trophies, and respect â until âthat dumb video.â Now, sheâs rebuilding her career (and dignity) by taking charge of a hopeless junior college squad at Headltston State â a school so small, she can barely pronounce it.
In the first trailer, Courteney looks straight into the camera and declares,
âAre they perfect? No. Are they good? I wouldnât say so. Iâm just trying to make sure nobody dies.â
And that sets the tone for Stumble â a mockumentary filled with chaos, redemption, and laugh-out-loud disasters.
đȘ From Glory to Grit: Courteneyâs Comeback
Courteneyâs fall from grace was epic â one video, one bottle, one poorly timed âBest Booty Awardâ joke â and her career imploded faster than a bad pyramid stunt. But like any true cheerleader, she refuses to stay down.
With her ever-patient husband Boone E. Potter (Taran Killam, Saturday Night Live) cheering her on, Courteney heads to the underfunded, undertrained, and unbelievably uncoordinated cheer team at Headltston State.
Among her new recruits?
A former football player who just wants to toss girls for attention.
A narcoleptic tumbler who falls asleep mid-flip.
A criminal athlete with an ankle monitor that flashes during practice.
As Courteney says, âCheer isnât just about winning â itâs about family.â Even if that family can barely stick a landing.
đ All-Star Cast, Real Cheer Spirit
Alongside Lyon and Killam, Stumble features Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy â with a sparkling recurring role from the ever-iconic Kristin Chenoweth as Courteneyâs rival and former assistant coach, Tammy Istiny.
The showâs authenticity comes courtesy of Monica Aldama, the real-life Navarro cheer coach made famous by Netflixâs Cheer, who joins as executive producer. Her experience ensures that the stunts, teamwork, and intensity of competition feel as real as the comedy feels sharp.
đ A Mockumentary in the Spirit of The Office and Parks and Rec
Stumble follows NBCâs proud tradition of smart, self-aware workplace comedies â mixing the documentary style of The Office and Parks and Recreation with the quirky heart of Ted Lasso. Expect snarky confessionals, awkward team-building moments, and plenty of âdid-that-just-happenâ laughs.
Created by Jeff and Liz Astrof (Trial & Error, The New Adventures of Old Christine), directed by Jeff Blitz (The Office), and produced by Universal Television, the series perfectly captures the absurdity and charm of people who refuse to give up â no matter how many times they fall.

đ Final Thoughts: Ready, Set⊠Stumble!
With its mix of heart, humor, and high-flying mishaps, Stumble is shaping up to be NBCâs next big comedy hit. Itâs a story of second chances, unlikely friendships, and what it really takes to rise again â pom-poms, pitfalls, and all.
As Courteney tells her team in the trailer:
âWe may fall. We may fumble. But as long as we stumble together â weâll stick the landing.â
